Michael F. Lesser, M.D., F.A.C.C.

...attended the University of Florida, graduated Phi beta Kappa and with honors. He received his medical degree from the University of South Florida where he was twice the recipient of the Lange Medical Book Award for academic excellence. He was also elected into Alpha Omega Alpha, the distinguished fraternity of academic achievement in medicine.

Dr. Lesser is a Board-Certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease and is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. He is a nationally recognized expert in medical computing and in addition to developing the unique medical information system software applications that includes an expert system to diagnose heart disease used at Osler as well as our automated reminder system.

Dr. Lesser was the first Brevard County physician to use clot dissolvers to treat heart attacks more than three years before this treatment gained wide acceptance and was solely responsible for introducing Angio Dynography to diagnose vascular disease non-invasively.

He has authored several internationally recognized papers in the field of cardiovascular disease while in practice at Osler and is the inventor of "GIFIC", a graphical language for displaying medical information.

Dr. Lesser has three children. He is active in sports and physical fitness.
