Clifford L. Gelman, M.D.

...grew up in Southern California. He graduated from U.C.L.A. in 1980 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. Dr. Gelman earned his Medical Degree at Rush University in Chicago. He finished in the top 10% of his class and was elected to the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He completed his General Surgery residency training at Rush Presbyterian St. Lukes Medical Center in Chicago. During his last two years of residency, he was an instructor of surgery. Dr. Gelman was active in research and has authored and co-authored papers in laparoscopic and laser surgery topics.

Following residency, Dr. Gelman spent three years as a General Surgeon in the Air Force at Patrick Air Force Base, Florida. Dr. Gelman is Board Certified in General Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is also a member of the Society of American Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons and the American Medical Association. Dr. Gelman's practice spans the field of General Surgery and includes oncologic and advanced laparoscopic surgery.

Dr. Gelman is married to Julie Gelman, M.D., who is an Internist with Osler Medical. Together they enjoy boating, fishing, gourmet cooking, and travel.
