Angela Aboutanos, M.D.

...is board certified in Internal Medicine. She is a native of north Georgia and completed her undergraduate degree in Biology from Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina. She spent a year doing research in molecular science at the Naval Research Laboratory in Washington D.C., before entering medical school at Emory University in Atlanta.

Dr. Aboutanos completed her internal medicine residency at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN. She then joined the academic faculty at Vanderbilt in the service of general internal medicine where she served as Assistant Professor of Medicine. She was involved in teaching students, residents and other allied health specialists while maintaining her own busy primary care internal Medicine practice.

Dr. Aboutanos is very busy with her husband and three small children. The family enjoys the beach, biking, as well as hiking and camping in the mountains.
