Gabriel A. Hernandez, M.D., F.A.A.P.

...was born in Bogota, Colombia and raised in Kentucky from the age of 5 years. He is a permanent citizen of the United States and received his BS degree from Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. Dr. Hernandez attended the University of Louisville School of Medicine where he had the opportunity to study under Dr. Billy Andrews, a nationally recognized pediatric academician.

After receiving his medical degree, he completed his pediatric residency at the University of South Florida (Tampa General Hospital) where he served as chief pediatric resident during his final year. While at Tampa, he trained under the auspices of Dr. Lewis Barness, probably the foremost pediatric academician in the United States.

Dr. Hernandez is Board Certified in Pediatrics and is a member of the American Academy of Pediatricians. Dr. Hernandez has two daughters and he and his wife have lived in the Melbourne area since 1988. His outside interests include music, nature, water sports, and fishing.
